Another elegant piano sonata from Joseph Haydn displays the composer's mastery of the form. The piece is straightforward and relatively simple with each movement working to give the composition a dramatic framework. The first movement glides with ease, the second is subdued and lyrical, and the third movement is giddy and spirited. Haydn's Sonata 7 shows the composer's strengths and is a brief, yet very satisfying piece.
